About 75 children in the age group of 6 -18 years in Arunprasath's community hail from socially and economically weaker background. Most of their parents are illiterates and do not give importance to education. There is a risk of these children dropping out of school & become child labourers and more vulnerable. Running a ‘Supplementary Education Centre’ could help the children in getting their literacy and numeracy skills improved, so this is what Arunprasath wants to do. Creating awareness on the importance of education among the parents and school children will also contribute in addressing the drop-out and child labour issues.
