KidsRights and Kehkashan, our International Children’s Peace Prize Winner 2016, are going to participate for the first time at the UN High-level Political Forum (HLPF).
The HLPF is the main United Nations platform on sustainable development and it has an important role in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is the largest annual gathering of leaders from all sectors of society to discuss progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year, nearly 50 countries are expected to share experiences, including successes, challenges and lessons learned, with the global community.
Kehkashan will contribute to the discussion as she has shown the important and critical engagement of youth fighting climate change. Her and KidsRights’ participation is focused on child participation and child engagement within the UN processes for Sustainable Development. For more information, have a look here.
