Mohamad Al Jounde from Syria wins International Children's Peace Prize 2017
Today, 16-year old Mohamad Al Jounde from Syria received the International Children's Peace Prize for his tireless commitment to the rights of Syrian refugee children. He received the award from Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Children's Peace Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai. The ceremony was held in the presence of the world press and many prominent guests, including His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan and a large number of foreign ambassadors. Mohamad, a refugee himself as a result of the Syrian civil war, built a school in a refugee camp in Lebanon.
