Terms of use

Technically: If you make a donation on the Platform, you automatically agree to our Terms of Use for Supporters. When donating you tick a link to the page where our conditions can be found.  

Terms of Use for Supporters  

KidsRights, located at Noorderakerweg 90 in Amsterdam, is responsible for the KidsRights Change Makers Movement Platform. The Platform uses the following terms of use for its supporters:  

1.         Supporter

• A supporter can be both a natural person and a legal person.
• If the supporter is a natural person, he/she must be 18 years or older in order to donate independently
• A minor (under 18 years of age) may only be a supporter if he/she has permission from a parent/guardian. The minor can give up to 10 euros
• The supporter provides complete and true information .

2.         Donations

• KidsRights receives the funds paid by supporters, manages them and pays them out to those responsible for the project
• If a project obtains more funds than necessary, KidsRights ensures that the extra money is appropriately spent on similar projects
• If a project retrieves less money than necessary, KidsRights examines whether the financial needs can be met in other ways 
• If a project to which the supporter contributed financially is not continued, the funds of the supporter are spent on other similar projects of KidsRights
• The supporter cannot claim his/her gift if and when the project has started
• The supporter chooses which of the offered payment methods he/she wants in order to make a donation. 
• Online payments (donations) are carried out by the payment Service Provider Partner, [PSP + link PSP] which has all the necessary legal permits and waivers  

3.         Disputes and complaints

The legal relationships of these Terms of Use apply only to European legislation.  

Complaints are handled by KidsRights and can be sent by e-mail or telephone. Supporters can ask KidsRights for information about its procedure of handling complaints. A reply will follow within 14 working days.  

4.         Privacy & Cookies

KidsRights processes personal data of the supporters. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our privacy statement, which may be consulted on the platform [link]   Data that KidsRights collects from supporters are:  

• Name and surname
• Date of birth
• Address
• Country
• Genus
• Email address
• Bank account
• Other personal data that you actively provide, for example by creating a profile on this website, in correspondence and by telephone.  

Functional, analytical and tracking cookies are used on the Platform. The use of cookies is performed in accordance with our cookie policy, which is accessible on the Platform. [link]  

5.         About these conditions

We reserve the right to change the Terms of Use in the meantime. Via this Platform we will notify supporters of any changes of the terms. If any of the provisions of the Terms of Use are declared void, ineffective or destroyed, the remaining provisions shall remain in force without prejudice. Verbal notices, agreements or commitments are not binding unless we have confirmed them in writing.
